A Tainted Thanksgiving Day

Yes, Thanksgiving Day is upon us, this time with a bigger more somber twist, for the worst, than the Thanksgiving of 2008 after the presidential election. What does this celebration mean for most Americans? How will they celebrate? Will it be business as usual or will it be a time for serious introspection as a nation and assess if the majority approves the fundamental change towards a Socialist/Marxist State? Or, will the true meaning of the first Thanksgiving have a chance to come back at all to restore the original vision of those early founders? That will be revealed in the weeks, months and years ahead of us.

In their 2012 Convention they wanted Him out of their platform but pressure made them put Him back in to the displeasure of the majority. For many years, I have been pointing out America’s radical change toward a culture of lies. Lies have become so acceptable they are now the norm and the truth is cast aside, ridiculed and even persecuted in most cases. During election time most people pay attention to politician’s lies as if they were the truth and for the most part give them a pass in the media, in the world of entertainment, education, science, commerce, and sadly, even from the pulpits and theological seminaries.

The problem has always been that no matter the mountain of evidence against the wrong perspective of economics those who through their ability of having mastered the art of deceitfulness can always count on the greed and laziness of those who expect to be taken care of. America has become more and more a place where those who lie the best and more often win.

How were Christian institutions like Harvard, Yale, and Princeton lost to the humanists? There was no crossing of swords or firing of weapons. The presidents of these institutions were not kidnapped and held for ransom if Christianity was not expunged from the curriculum. The takeover came by way of a generous spirit of acceptance of less orthodox views in the name of tolerance by the institutional heirs.
