The Road Without God

If you don’t know anything about Alexander Solzhenitsyn (1918-2008), you should. In 1970 he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. The communist regime did not allow him to leave the Union to receive it. In 1974, through international pressure he was expelled from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). He returned to Russia in 1994 after the fall of the USSR and passed away in Moscow in 2008.

A Nation, a City or a House Divided Always Collapses

On June 16, 1858, the Springfield, Illinois, Republican State Convention chose Abraham Lincoln as their candidate for the U.S. Senate, his opponent was Democrat Stephen A. Douglas. Lincoln titled his speech “A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand.” As a skillful lawyer, orator and politician he knew his audience and used a familiar statement made by Jesus that is registered in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, to drive his message to its intended purpose.

When Judges Rule Constitutionally Justice Is Served

In the midst of judicial tyranny, a spark of hope flares from time to time when a judge breaks away from what the God-haters want. Last year, a high school student brought a lawsuit against the Matawan-Aberdeen school district in New Jersey on the basis that the Pledge of Allegiance, which includes the words “under God,” violated his rights as an atheist when it is recited in class.

Rissa Arias

This may not come as a great surprise to you that a federal judge in North Carolina, James A. Beaty Jr., “ruled that commissioners in one local county can’t present prayers only in Jesus’ name even if they all are Christians because doing so isn’t ‘nondiscriminatory’ toward other religions and elevates Christianity in government.”

Five People Can Wreak Havoc in The Nation

With a document called the U.S. Constitution, the people introduced a federal government into existence, which was a social experiment. This document was to be the supreme law of the land and it was to be supervised by the people. In other words, the executive, legislative and judicial federal branches were created by and for “We the people” and not the other way around. The government is the servant of the people not the people servants of the government.

Scalia: ‘Why No Ancient Greek Gay Marriages?’

Garth Kant | April 28, 2015 WASHINGTON – The most dramatic moment in a historic case before the U.S. Supreme Court on the constitutionality of same-sex marriage Tuesday morning came after the first attorney had wrapped up her argument.  “Gay marriage is an abomination in the eyes of God!” suddenly

Excuse Me, Please, Which Way is America Going?

I was listening to Hillary Clinton’s speech given at the sixth annual Women in the World Summit (April 22-24, 2015). Believe it or not, I did listen to her and it is not the only time I have paid attention to anything Clinton. The first time goes back to when they occupied the White House. Why do I care? Well, in all truthfulness, it’s not just because it is Hillary, it’s about her ideas and how she implements them. It is about her beliefs and what they have done to America and the world.

Supreme Court Justices Warned to Leave Marriage Alone

Bob Unruh | April 25, 2015 Thousands of signers of a new marriage pledge, including leaders of Christian organizations representing millions, are warning the justices on the U.S. Supreme Court to leave marriage alone. No “redefinition.” No “gay marriage.” No nothing. “We will view any decision by the Supreme Court

Will Clergy Be Forced To Perform Same-Sex Weddings?

Frank Camp | April 24, 2015 Alan K. Simpson said that “there is no ‘slippery slope’ toward loss of liberties, only a long staircase where each step downward must first be tolerated by the American people and their leaders.” Arguments supporting religious protections against the gay intoleratti are often linked

Trust, But Verify

“Trust, but verify,” is a phrase made famous by President Ronald Reagan in his dealings with the Soviet Union. Reagan was quoting a Russian proverb “doveryai, no proveryai” (Доверяй, но проверяй). Interestingly enough, it was highly used by the skillful politician and founder of the Russian Communist Party, leader of the Bolshevik revolution and mastermind and first head of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Lenin.

What Difference Does It Make?

We are only too familiar with pollution and the damage it causes. The impact of pollution is even felt in distant lands. It can be seen in the landscape, in dangerous soils, oceans, lakes, rivers, dead plants and animals; humans also suffer the consequences. There are facts demonstrating how bad pollution is for every living thing on planet Earth. Does it make a difference then how we view pollution and the responsibility we all bare to contain it? You’d better believe it!

My Father Was Gay. Why I Oppose Same-Sex Marriage.

Dawn Stefanowicz | April 13, 2015 It took me decades to come to my views on same-sex “marriage” in light of my personal experiences. From infancy, I was unwittingly identified under the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transsexual (GLBT) umbrella. During the first 30 years of my life, I garnered many
