How many times have you heard or been told, “You can’t legislate morality”? The question is do you believe that statement to be true? Since we learned of the horrible slaughter of nine people last Wednesday, June 17, in Charleston, South Carolina, much media coverage has been done. We are hearing many conflicting perspectives about the why of this horrific crime. My intention in recapping this incident is to bring into focus the reality of the problem.
The second part of what Jesus would answer to the question: Are God’s people doomed to be servants of the mighty and powerful? It is found in his parable of the dishonest manager in Luke 16:1-13. Many find this parable not only hard to understand but very disturbing since at first glance it may seem like Jesus is endorsing fraud, which is a violation of the eighth commandment that says you shall not steal (Exodus 20:15).
Wealth and power are not the problem. God has both and He has no problem whatsoever. The outcome of these valuable assets lies with whose ethics are being applied to administer them. That’s the bottom line. And, it’s the difference between the right way and the wrong way, truth and lies.
The very nature of the attendees and the topics they talk about are not discussed outside their circle. No minutes are taken and no reports with their conclusions are given. This organization of the most powerful men and women in the world began meeting since 1954, to debate the future of the world. They have met over and over again since then. As expected, they believe their worldview is the only right one and they all work toward that end. These world elites are mostly from America, Canada, and Western Europe.
I understand this statement of Sheriff Arpaio in a mocking way directed at the Liberal worldview for wanting a Paradise run by socialists. Once they gain full control of a nation they turn it into hell. By the way, an important fact to keep in mind is that liberals can’t face facts in serious debates; they always lose. Their lies can only thrive in a society of historical neophytes. This is one of the reasons they must rewrite history to fit their deception of a promised paradise.
